Moon Lambing

All systems are go, you say
Why won’t I take this trip?

I tried to walk a mile
In your silver running shoes
Head over heels
I took an awful spill
Your shoes run too fast
Impossible for me to fill

So focused on the finish line
Training for an unscheduled event
Mission commands so shrill
You never took a clean start
Your shoes run too fast
Impossible for you to fill

Goodbye green hills of earth
Next stop, you say, the moon
