Herr Eksen's Sind Brygge

Herr Eksen’s mind often concocts
Images of chorus lines dancing
As he plays dodge the curb
And squints into oncoming headlights
Oh, if his wife only knew
What a brew
What a wonderful stew
That spin the tires round and round
Handling curves of road and mind
While gripping the wheel so tight

Lay off the horn, Herr Eksen
Stay within the lines
The way you drive, Sir
Bends all the rules, Sir
Sind Brygge Lane is not wide

There really is no stopping
Herr Eksen when his mind
Is so thoroughly stewed in brew
Thank god he drives mostly at night
When pedestrians are few
The chorus girls are many
But pedestrians are few

Echoes: Poem and Collage by Jay Larsen
"Sind brygge" = Danish "mind brew"
Sung to the tune of Auld Lang Zinger
And NO, I am not condoning drinking and driving
